    Content Designer (GamesPreis)

    JFF - Institut für Medienpädagogik

    The GamesPreis is an Award for young people from 10 to 26 years. Games could be submitted in different categories, which were then presented in an online exhibition using Mozilla Hubs. I was responsible for the design of the exhibition for the submitted content in the different hubs we created.

    Co-Founder, Game and Level Designer

    Pixel Beef Games GbR

    In 2020 I founded Pixel Beef Games together with two fellow students. Our first game xDasher was created at a game jam with the theme "Back to the couch". After the first prototype we decided to develop the game further and publish it on Steam. Since then we have professionalized our way of working and want to slowly establish Pixel Beef Games on the side. Our goal is to develop smaller games based on interesting mechanics. We are currently working on our second game.

    Youth mentoring in games

    Bildung & Begabung: GameTalente-Akademie

    As a team member of the GameTalente academy I was responsible for several groups of young people between the ages of 13 and 17. The goal of the academy was to give young people an understanding of the different aspects of game development. Besides the technical workshops on Unity3D and the basics of game design, I was also trained in pedagogy, which taught me how to work especially with young people.

    The Haus des Spiels in nuremberg organizes various events in the field of play. My tasks were mainly on the origanization and execution of events in the area of game nights for digital and analog games and the leading of escape rooms.

    Volunteer at Devcom

    As a volunteer, I helped to practically implement the process of the Devcom program. My tasks ranged from helping attendees find their way around devcom up to ensuring the smooth running of the speaker sessions. During this time I made a lot of contacts from the games industry.

    Master of Arts: Computer Game Studies

    University of Bayreuth

    After my bachelor studies i wanted to deepen my knowledge about the theory and practice of games and started to study computer game studies. The course combines game studies and computer science. In my master thesis titled "Difficulty as a media-aesthetic feature of digital game in conflict with accessibility methods", I researched how games generate difficulty and linked this to the question of accessibility.

    My grade is still pending and I was enrolled from 2016 to 2021

    Student assistant (Game Programming in Unity3D)

    University of Bayreuth

    During my bachelor i was always looking for exciting side jobs. In my second year I got the opportunity to help the chair of digital media with the realization of a Unity3D course. My tasks were to create and correct assignments and to provide help for undergraduates.

    Prototype Developer and Game Designer

    At White Pony, my initial task was to prototype an already written concept of a location-based augmented reality game in Unity for the funding application. After the successful approval of the funding from the FFF, I continued to work on the project as a game designer. Even though the project was canceled, I learned a lot about working in a start up in the games industry. I also had my first practical steps here as a game designer among other things.

    Bachelor of Arts: Media Studies with Applied Informatics

    In my bachelor's program, I learned the basics of media studies in theory and practice. The course was roughly divided into three disciplines: Broadcasting, Audiovisual Media and Digital Games. My focus from the beginning was on game studies and the development of computer games. My final project Hooks and Loops is a classic point and click adventure, which was developed in a team of three.

    I graduated with a grade of 1.7 and was enrolled from 2013 to 2016

    Internship as Online Editor

    Antenne Niedersachsen

    Antenne Niedersachsen is a private radio station in Hanover with a daily reach of 1.4 million listeners per day. My job as editor was the preparation of news in the regional area for the online presence. This were my first steps in the media industry and I learned a lot about writing techniques and structuring texts for the public.
